Liz Miller - Westfield, New Jersey
Liz started out assisting elderly family members with their daily finances and personal needs over ten years ago. She began to see the growing need for this service in her community and officially started Personal Financial Navigation in 2013. Prior to this, Liz worked for 15 years in the financial services industry assisting clients across the globe with improving their operations. More recently she worked as a paralegal for a local estate and trust attorney where she gained important experience in the administration of estates and trusts. Liz graduated from Rutgers University where she studied Political Science and Economics. She holds certifications in Treasury Management and Professional Bookkeeping. She is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Liz is an active member of her community serving in leadership roles at her church and as a volunteer with Agape, a community kitchen, located in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Melanie Sawina - Westfield, New Jersey
Melanie started with PFN in 2014. She and her family have lived in Westfield for over 25 years. She has extensive experience working with both small business and individual clients across all three of our service areas. Melanie is a graduate of Southeastern Academy of Travel and Tourism and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has a Certificate in Professional Bookkeeping. Prior to joining us, Melanie worked in the travel industry for 15 years where she was responsible for travel operations at a large investment bank. She also has held leadership roles in her community with the Westfield Band Parents Association and the Boys Scouts of America, and taught Sunday school at her church.
Jacque Bourke - Scotch Plains, New Jersey
Jacque and her family have lived in Scotch Plains for over 22 years. She joined us in September of 2019 to support both individuals and small business clients. Jacque is a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Marketing and where she was on athletic scholarship for field hockey. She spent over fourteen years working in different business planning, merchandising and sales management positions in the apparel and fashion industry. She is actively involved in the community, her children’s schools and her church, including coaching field hockey and as a Girl Scouts Troop leader.
Vicki Simpson, Westfield, New Jersey
Vicki and her family have lived in Westfield for 24 years. She is a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor and is working with both our individual and small business clients. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a BA in Mass Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations. Prior to joining PFN, she was heavily involved in the Not-for-Profit sector where she developed programs, wrote grants and organized volunteers. She continues to hold leadership roles in the community.
Teresa Culkin, Westfield, New Jersey
Teresa joined PFN in May 2024. She and her family have lived in Westfield for over 18 years. Teresa works primarily on small business clients. She is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin with a BBA in Finance. Prior to joining PFN, she spent many years in the financial services industry working as a commercial credit analyst. She is actively involved in her community and her children's school.
