Liz started out assisting elderly family members with their daily finances and personal needs over ten years ago. She began to see the growing need for this service in her community and officially started Personal Financial Navigation in 2013. Prior to this, Liz worked for 15 years in the financial services industry assisting clients across the globe with improving their operations. More recently she worked as a Paralegal for a local estate and trust attorney where she gained important experience in the administration of estates and trusts. Liz graduated from Rutgers University where she studied Political Science and Economics. She holds certifications in Treasury Management and Professional Bookkeeping. She is also certified in QuickBooks. She is an active member of her community serving in leadership roles at her church and with the public school.
Melanie and her family have lived in Westfield for over 20 years. She was the first teammate to join Personal Financial Navigation in October, 2014. She has extensive experience working with both small business and individual clients across all three of our service areas. Melanie is a graduate of Southeastern Academy of Travel and Tourism and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has a Certificate in Professional Bookkeeping. Prior to joining us, Melanie worked in the travel industry for 15 years where she was responsible for travel operations at a large investment bank. She also has held leadership roles in her community with the Westfield Band Parents Association and the Boys Scouts of America, and taught Sunday school at her church.
Susan and her family have lived in Westfield for 25 years and she joined us in October of 2016. Susan supports both small business and elderly clients across all of our service areas. She is a graduate of Rutgers University and is QuickBooks On-line Certified. Prior to joining us, Susan worked as a journalist and editor for an international news agency for over ten years. Most recently she was an office administrator for the US operations of a passenger railway car manufacturer. Susan has volunteered extensively in her community including fundraising for the public school system and working with Furniture Assist, an organization providing furniture and household items to those in need.
Jennifer and her family have lived in Westfield for 16 years. She joined us in September of 2018 and supports both small business and individual clients. She graduated from Binghamton University and has a Masters Degree in math education from NYU. She is QuickBooks On-line Certified. After college she worked as an Actuary for several years. She more recently received her NJ Teaching Certificate and taught math in the public school system and has worked as a private tutor. She has held numerous leadership roles in her community including Treasurer of her daughter's soccer team, Co-Chair of Fundraising for the Westfield High School Band Parents Association and Member of the Board of Directors for the JCC of Central New Jersey.
